ANTI-BULLFIGHTING PROTEST

Semi-nude members of the animal protection group the

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, hold a banner reading “Stop the Bloody Bullfights” during a protest in the streets where the famous week-long “Running of the Bulls” started yesterday in Pamplona, Spain. The protesters had planned to run totally nude but could not besause they didn’t get the necessary town hall permit, the Efe news agency reported. The first of eight bull runs is scheduled for today. –AP
