"If were rich, I would stay here forever", sighed a tourist basking in the sunshine among the lush tropical gardens at Sugar Hut. At Bt 1862 per night, Sugar Hut is not for backpackers even though they now offer special 20% discount for low season. But the price you pay is money well spent, as you won't find a nicer place in the whole Pattaya. True, there's no lack of luxury hotel in Pattaya, but Sugar Hut offers a unique experience. All the bungalows are built according to traditional Thai style, and each has a fabulous indoor garden bathroom. The bungalows are scattered among well-kept, extremely beautiful gardens. Although the bungalows are traditional, built with bamboo and rattan, inside there are all the mod cons you'll need, including air-con and mini-bar, but all traces of modern times are cleverly hidden, so you'll experience the traditional Thai life-style. There's a beautiful, breezy out-door restaurant, where they serve succulent Thai food. Fresh fruit drinks are the specialty here. There are two beautiful pools and Jacuzzi, and for fitness buffs, there's a gym and a jogging track. The good news is that you don't have to dish out Bt 1862 to enjoy this luxury.
